How NumeroTools handles your information — in plain English. Our tools work in your browser, so the short answer is: very little of it ever reaches us.

NumeroTools (“NumeroTools”, “we”, “us”) runs the website numerotools.com — a collection of free online counters, randomizers, calculators, text tools and timers. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the site and the choices you have.

Every tool on NumeroTools works inside your web browser. The numbers you count, the text you paste, the dates you enter and the results you generate are processed on your own device and are not sent to our server.
To save you from losing your place, many tools keep a copy of your work in your browser’s local storage — a small storage area on your device that only this website can read. Depending on the tool, this can include:
This data stays on your device. We can’t see it, and we can’t recover it for you. To delete it, use the reset or clear buttons inside a tool, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings. Using a private/incognito window means nothing is kept once you close it.
Some tools use features of your device only when you ask them to: copying a result to your clipboard, playing a sound or vibrating on a tap, keeping the screen awake while the Interval Timer is running, switching to full screen, opening your device’s share menu, or creating a file (for example a CSV or text export) that is saved directly to your device.

NumeroTools is free because it is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to show ads.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you’ll be asked for your consent before non-essential advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy/consent link on the site.
We may use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate — for example which tools are popular, which pages load slowly and what devices visitors use. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type. We don’t use it to identify individuals, and the content you enter into tools is never sent to it.
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Where consent is required, analytics cookies are only used after you agree.
We use a small number of technologies that store information on your device:
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking local storage will stop tools from remembering your progress, but they will still work.
If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, the topic and your message, together with the date and time and basic technical details (such as IP address and browser) that help us filter spam. We use this only to read and reply to your message, and to improve the site if you’ve reported a bug or suggested a tool.
Messages are delivered to our email inbox and stored in our website’s database. We keep them for as long as needed to deal with your request and then delete them, normally within 12 months. We will never add you to a mailing list or share your details for marketing.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: legitimate interests to run, secure and improve the site and to answer messages; consent for personalised advertising and analytics cookies where required; and legal obligation where we must keep or disclose information by law.
We don’t sell the personal information we collect. We share information only with service providers that help us run the site — our web host, Cloudflare, Google (fonts, advertising and analytics) and our email provider — or when required by law.
Under some US state privacy laws, allowing advertising partners to use cookies for personalised ads may be considered “selling” or “sharing” personal information. You can opt out using the links in the Advertising section above, or by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data-protection authority.
In practice, the only personal information we hold directly is what you send us through the contact form or email. To make a request, email [email protected]. Data saved by our tools is already under your control — you can delete it in your browser at any time. For ad and analytics data, you can also use Google’s own controls linked above.
NumeroTools is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13. The tools themselves don’t collect personal information. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our contact form; if you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
The site is served only over HTTPS, and the content you use in our tools never leaves your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we hold.
NumeroTools is used worldwide. Information handled by our service providers (such as Google and Cloudflare) may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States, under those providers’ safeguards.
We may update this policy when we add tools or services. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
